    The last real coin from honduras, minted in france and designed by
    Albert Désiré Barre, chief engraver from the Paris mint. This coin was made in silver douring its first years but was changed to copper nickel since the young nation did not have the means to pay for silver coins until the liberal reform and the introduction of the silver Peso.
