    Description:
    AGE: c1800s
    ORIGIN: ENGLAND
    SIZE:  Approx. 13"x 6"
    MATERIAL : SILK, METAL, ox bone ,PORCELAIN
    CONDITION: VERY GOOD

    THIS BEAUTIFUL HAND MADE CHATELAINE
    consists a circular frame wrapped in silk ribbon with a porcelain dolls head at the top, and a group of bone rings entwined with ribbon to make a chain down the center.  At the end of the ribbons are sewing tools ~  a bone stiletto, small thimble, thread and scissors.  Top to bottom measures about 13". The frame is 6" in diameter.
    .  ALTHOUGH THIS PIECE IS QUITE OLD IT HAS HELD UP VERY WELL AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL DISPLAYED & THERE IS ROOM TO EVEN ADD A FEW MORE PIECES AROUND IT.
    Even with the age wear, this is  a nice original example of a lost art from past generations, and a very hard to find item.
