A nicely done Seth Thomas mantel clock like this one does not come along very often.  The wood case is just incredible.  Look at the inlay on the front of the clock.  Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself.
This fine Vintage Mantel clock is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a high end auction house or clock shop, as we have been selling clocks out of our home for over 35 years.  We can therefore better control our acquisition costs, keep commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don't have the overhead that the higher end houses and clock shops experience

Nice looking  Seth Thomas clock here.  Has a mahogany case with a rounded top.  Brass fee on the case.  The clock has a nice looking 48J brass movement.
The case is in very nice condition.  Some white spotting on the top of the arched top, may be paint.  No cracks or splits to the case and all the wood case and trim is there.  Only exception is a crack in the bottom board, see pic.  Some very minor crazing to the clock case finish.  Some wear to the finish along the edges.

Great enamel paint on metal face with "Seth Thomas" in Script about a 1/3 of way down on face.  No hairlines or cracks in the face.  Gold colored metal grommets around the wind holes.  The concave glass over the face is intact, no cracks or blistering.  The gold colored bezel that holds the glass in place is securely attached to the case by the hinge assembly.    The hands match and look appropriate to the clock.
The hands are a little loose at center point, front to back, as need washer to tighten up.
The clock was in running and striking condition when we acquired.  We have just oiled the bushing and pivot points.  The clock strikes the hours on the hour, and one strike on the half hour. Beautifully rich gong sound for a smaller clock.
We are selling this clock in running and striking condition at this juncture,
no warranty intended.  There is no representation that the clock is in original condition, or will continue to be in working order.
The brass movement has the "ST" logo on it.  The clock stands 9.75" tall, by 7-3/8" across, by 5.75" wide (by glass & knob).  The clock face is 3.5" across.  Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
As can be expected when dealing with an antique clock, some adjustments may be needed after shipping to get the clock re-running correctly again as they can be very delicate.  If you have not had experience with old mechanical clocks before, I would suggest you steer clear.  One really needs to have the patience, and skill to work with these great works of art.  They are not our modern plug in and go, or change the battery clocks.  Please ask any questions relating to this matter, before you decide to purchase it.
